Is cosmetic surgery for me?
Many people think about getting cosmetic surgery and a question you rightfully ask yourself is if this kind of surgery is for me?
The answer to that question is ultimately only you who can and should answer. However here are some aspects you may want to consider.
Why are you considering plastic surgery?
If the answer is to look as a super model or celebrity or live a happy life, there is a big risk of disappointment.
Cosmetic surgery has limitations and what you reasonably can expect is that the area you treat will be improved. Do not expect a major transformation.
Are you healthy?
To undergo cosmetic surgery is similar to any other form of surgery. As you may know, not all are in a physical state to be cleared for such a massive intrusion in the body. You may be sick, in bad physical condition, or suffering a chronic disease which would put your life at risk, should you go through with the surgery.
Do you have financial capability to afford Cosmetic surgery?
Even though prices have come down substantially over the years, it is by no means cheap to have cosmetic surgery. There are however varying costs attached depending on what kind of surgery you are doing. Please check already before you decide what the costs will be for your particular choice.
Do you have the time needed?
The surgery in itself is only a small part of the whole process. Afterwards you need to recover, and depending the type of surgery this can take a week up to several months. During this time it may be so that you are unable to work or participate in any activities.
Have you found the right clinic and doctor?
It is of great importance to find a clinic and a doctor who have a long and good track record. After all you are putting your body and health in their hands and you do not want any malpractice. Ask people who have had cosmetic surgery about their experience. When you meet prospective doctors, ask a lot of question and do not commit to a clinic unless you are sure that they are very good.
